Supply Chain Manager

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for procurement and logistics management, ensuring that all client requests are delivered and invoiced on time and in full, inventory management, operational cost reduction, obtaining of competitive process from suppliers, efficient shipping and excellent team management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure that the lead times and delivery turn out times are met within the set deadlines of all the customers and have communication with the customers on the progress and updates
  2. Timely setting of departmental objectives, always keeping inbound costs within the agreed percentages and margin protection based on the operating margins agreed every budget year.
  3. Ensuring correct pricing is done on the machines, consumables and IT equipment when receiving in the system that is pegged to the landed costs and margins of each department and overall business
  4. Price book publishing against supplier pricing, shipping factors, exchange rates, market review & customer willingness
  5.  Work with the finance department to always obtain competitive exchange rates that will ensure the organization does not incur any forex losses
  6.  Ensuring all the dead or obsolete stock/inventory are disposed by looking for the best market and market prices
  7.  Ensuring that there is no over or under stocking and that frequent stocks are always maintained at a minimum re-order levels to avoid stock-outs
  8.  Optimize purchases of stocks to cater for business needs and to meet and exceed customer expectation
  9.  Have regular reviews against market trends to maintain a competitive position in the market and against competitors.
  10.  Effective supplier and credit management and negotiating for better credit terms
  11.  Ensuring the WIP report to management is done on a weekly basis with a fast turnaround time to sales revenue
  12.  Reduce shipping costs by 2-5%
  13.  Improve customer satisfaction by avoiding partial delivery on equipment to less than 5% of all deliveries and reduce the customer complains on consumable and spares delivery to below 5% of all deliveries
  14.  Ensuring that we are always in compliance with the ISO procedures

Qualifications

Academic

  • Degree in Procurement / Supply Chain Management
  • CIPS or equivalent professional certification will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of ISO Certification

 

Experience

  • 3-4 years in similar position in a busy office, preferably in service industry
