Job Summary

As an IT Sales Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and revenue growth for the organization. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, sales skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Attend Training and Events: Participate in training sessions and events to stay updated on sales and technical procedures.

2. Business Expansion: Introduce new lines of business to increase market share in designated sectors.

3. Cross-Divisional Collaboration: Develop synergies with other divisions to facilitate the closure of deals, especially for large businesses.

4. Virtualization Opportunities: Increase opportunities related to the virtualization of SAAS and PAAS.

5. Certification and Vendor Support: Attain the highest certification levels and provide vendor support in install bases and labor credit earnings.

6. Contract Management: Consolidate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and support contracts to increase recurrent revenues.

7. IT Solutions Identification: Identify opportunities for IT solutions and collaborate with the Technical Team to develop appropriate strategies.

8. Revenue Target Ownership: Own and meet the assigned revenue target, utilizing proven sales techniques such as prospecting, cold calling, lead generation, and probing.

9. Solution Development: Scope opportunities and collaborate with the Technical Team to develop suitable solutions for clients.

10. Proposal and Tender Preparation: Prepare proposals and tenders for solutions agreed upon with customers.

11. Demonstrations and Proof of Concepts: Arrange demonstrations and proof of concepts for target customers on new technologies.

12. Negotiation: Negotiate with customers to establish favorable commercial terms.

13. Sales Reporting: Generate weekly sales reports and maintain an active sales funnel at all times.

14. Debt Collection: Take responsibility for debt collection within your portfolio and department.

15. Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver high-value solutions on time.

16. Proactive Participation: Actively participate in company sales and marketing meetings.

17. Market Intelligence: Gather market intelligence to stay informed about industry trends and competitors.

18. Ad Hoc Responsibilities: Perform other job-related tasks as requested.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT sales or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of IT solutions, virtualization, and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Nature and Scope of the Position

Working within the sales team you will be responsible for building and developing a successful sales pipeline.

Your main area of specialty will be Consumables and Accessories

You will be expected to generate leads by participating in a number of sales activities:

  • Calling prospects from a target database
  • Networking
  • Attending exhibitions/seminars/meeting
  • Referrals from clients

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-level direct client contact with Clients
  2. Recruiting and Training of the sales team
  3. Supervising, motivating, and monitoring team performance
  4. Handle the strategy and the budget for the department
  5. Maintaining detailed knowledge of the company’s products
  6. Give reports to the manager in charge on a weekly basis
  7. Cultivate relationships at the highest levels of top target market companies
  8. Drive revenue through long-term, high-dollar contacts.
  9. Ensure efficient Customer retention
  10. Consult with clients on their needs and design solutions to meet client needs
  11. Collect debt in allocated accounts.
  12. Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as requested.
  13. Provide excellent customer experience to existing and new clients.
  14. To undertake other duties as and when requested

 

Qualifications:

Academic

  • Degree in Sales and Marketing or a related course
  • Professional qualification will be an added advantage

 

Experience

  • 2 years in sales position
  • 1 supervisory role or Managerial Position
